Seenigama BPO Technologies

As an outcome of the replication assistance program initiated by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) Seenigama BPO Technologies was launched in September 10, 2010.

This is the second BPO which FARO has undertaken. Seenigama is a village in the south, one of the worst affected communities by Tsunami of 2005. The new BPO is located in the premises of the well established community of the FOUNDATION OF GOODNESS (www. unconditionalcompassion.org ). It provides employment and career opportunity to the economically disfranchised youth of the area.This will also be a John Keells business supported project with the funding for infra structure and training support coming from an ICTA replication grant for rural capacity building.

BPO at SEENIGAMA This BPO commenced operations during the last quarter of 2010 under the incorporated name of Seenigama BPO Technologies Pvt Ltd.

The initial batch of six operator owners will be scaled up to fifteen seats during 2011

Seenigama BPO achieves revenue milestone

Seenigama BPO Technologies achieved a revenue volume growth of 25% in September 2011 with sales levels going up to Rs 146,000.

Young Entrepreneurs Sri Lanka (YESL) to train Seenigama BPO Asssociates

FARO has initiated a program with Young Entrepreneurs SrI Lanka (YESL) member-franchise holder for Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide to train Associates in the many aspects of entrepreneurial development.

Microsoft donates software

Microsoft donated Office 2010 software to Seenigama BPO Technologies as well as for use in the Mahavilachchiya and Uduvil projects of FARO.

Seenigama BPO to recruit new Associates

Seenigama BPO Technologies will begin recruiting new Associates in November 2011 with work volume going up in the 4th quarter and increase in hotels/ tourism related work with the beginning of the tourist season.
